A general rule of thumb is to always utilize smaller boxes for items that are heavy just like books, blankets and other, while larger boxes can be used for lighter items such as pillows and comforters. To make it easy for you to pack up and also unpack in your new home, you must pack each room's contents into a separate box or carton. Moreover, you should also wrap breakables with newspapers and bubble wraps and you could even move them in a different trip.
Yet another tip is to always write all the contents of the boxes on the side of each box. You can also choose to label each box with its destination in your new place. So you just need to indicate the room where the box will be placed.
